Beyond Power

I have four sons... Remaining an active influence in their lives and watching them grow & go!!!
Tuskegee University '93, Marylhurst University '15 | Joined Power in 2016

How I started in construction:  My first construction related job was during my high school summer breaks working for a construction firm rehabbing single family homes in Chicago.  I enjoyed learning and being introduced to the different crafts.  The best part was stepping back to see the finished product and reminiscing on the challenges.

Best career advice ever received: “There is always room for growth; never stop learning – Be Intentional."

Why construction? I enjoyed summer construction projects & drafting in high school, so my initial impression was to major in Architecture.  During my final architectural thesis (I had a brain fart)… upon graduating, I switched my focus to construction management.  I felt I would have more fulfillment up close and hands-on with field related activities.  20+ years later, I’m still enjoying overseeing construction projects.

Favorite Chicago landmark: The Southside - Bronzeville, Hyde Park, South Shore, Lake Front...

Favorite sports team: Bulls, 3-Peat!
