Project Highlights

Facilitated collaboration meetings among Presence Health and Hammes Company prior to project start to ensure that all stakeholders' needs were met.

A 2.5 month potential delay due to weather conditions and a caisson redesign was mitigated by schedule revisions, allowing the project to be completed on schedule.

Given the complexity of medical equipment, equipment manufacturers activities were integrated into the schedule.

Sustainable Highlights

The project is designed for LEED Gold certification supported with recycled materials, regional materials, low VOC emitting materials, site selection, water efficient landscaping, design innovation and access to public transportation.

Power developed a plan to delay installation of protective exterior shielding and windows in a portion of the 6th floor enclosure to allow for installation of the complex MRI equipment through the opening.
Due to unpredictable water table and soils encountered during caisson construction, Power worked closely with the Owner and A/E to redesign the original caisson design and mitigate potential schedule delays to meet the original owner occupancy date.
Developed site logistics with hospital facilities staff and local neighborhood association to mitigate the impact of construction on deliveries, emergency vehicles and residential traffic.
