The Power CommitmentPower Construction is committed to pursuing recycling alternatives, renewable energy sources, environmentally-friendly construction materials, and best practices for sustainable design and construction. It’s the nature of Power... our commitment extends to our clients, our employees and the world around us. |
SustainabilityAs one of Chicago's leading construction managers, Power is committed to promoting and supporting the "green" or sustainable construction objectives of our clients. Power completed its first "green" building in 1999, prior to much public awareness of the LEED certification concept. The firm is currently working on several LEED projects, including corporate headquarters, university projects, mixed-use developments and state-of-the-art healthcare facilities totaling over $2.5 billion. Power is an active member of the U.S. Green Building Council and has served on USGBC's LEED Core & Shell Rating Committee. In addition, Power has adopted numerous "green" strategies through a long-running series of internal corporate initiatives and practices. From basic recycling and conservation methods to procurement of environmentally appropriate supplies and improvements in the quality of its indoor work spaces, Power is moving toward a sustainable future.
