Primary Function

Provide detailed cost estimates of the MEP systems at designated stages in projects (e.g. schematic phase, design development phase and 50% construction document phase). Manage and guide the bid process for MEP design/build projects. Help superintendents and project managers resolve technical and operational problems with MEP systems. Full involvement in the entire preconstruction and construction process. Help ensure customer, architect, and subcontractor expectations are exceeded.

Intangibles

Work on job sites in assisting superintendents in the direction of MEP trades on a day-to-day basis.

Requirements

Education and experience requirements include: Mechanical/Electrical Engineering Degree or experience in either HVAC, plumbing, or electrical building systems plus a minimum of five years experience. Must have the ability to assume responsibility and interface well with the Project Team and Owners/Clients. Superior communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
