Power Construction applauds Julie Allman as the first woman to serve as the Chair of the Chicago Area Council of Boy Scouts of America Construction Industry Dinner.  Ms. Allman is “an extraordinary professional, wife and mother of four and the first female Chair of this event in 46 years”, says Fred Wallace, Scout Executive.  Julie is also a 1994 graduate of Purdue University and a 20-year veteran of Power.

Under Julie’s leadership the Construction Industry Dinner raised more than $580,000!  Congratulations to Julie and the entire development committee on a job very well done!

Mr. Wallace added, “we continue to seek ways to reach more youth with our character building program.  The latest strategy has been the successful consolidation of four Boy Scout councils located in the metropolitan area into one council with a focus on creating Better – Stronger Scouting.  The new council – Pathway to Adventure, is leading the way in building on our core programs of outdoor education and leadership training with innovative programs and partnerships in STEM – Science, Technology, Engineering and Math.  From this point forward, the construction industry’s generous support will benefit youth from the Wisconsin border through the metropolitan area, into Northwestern Indiana.”
