For the second year in a row Power Construction has been named by the Chicago Tribune as a Top 125 Workplace in its 7th Annual Top Workplaces special report. Power is now ranked 10th, up from 24th last year, among the area’s mid-size companies. This report publicly recognizes the most dynamic and supportive local companies to work for in the area.
Workplace Dynamics, a third-party research firm hired by Chicago Tribune, conducted a series of employee surveys to determine the region’s top workplaces. A total of 1,861companies were invited to participate. The first round assessed 5 categories: company leadership, compensation, training, diversity, and workplace flexibility. The list was then narrowed to include only the companies whose employees said they enjoy their work, embrace the company’s mission, and feel like valued teammates.
Of Power’s 294 employees, 211 responded to the survey (that is 72%!).
"Top 100 Workplaces is a unique award in that it recognizes leading companies but really pays respect to the employees that make up each organization and keep the businesses flourishing," notes the Chicago Tribune editor Gerould Kern. "We’re proud to support companies that foster growth and acknowledge the hard work of their employees.”
Congratulations to Power Construction’s sister company, Power Wellness, who was also recognized as one of Chicago’s Top 125 Workplaces!
