Power Construction seeks a highly motivated Community Development Coordinator to assist and support our growing Community Development team. This person will be responsible for assisting in the coordination and implementation of Community Development services, to include: project-related initiatives, community outreach events, development and implementation of Power's Community Development initiatives, and building relationships with community stakeholders. The ideal candidate will be tech savvy, well organized, detailed and passionate about diversity, equity and inclusion.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist with creating community development plans for new projects.
◦ Collaborate with Power's marketing team to craft project-specific community development plans for project proposals.
◦ Interface with project team members, schedule kick-off meetings, review project data, assist with contacting community stakeholders.
• Assist with implementing project-specific community development initiatives.
◦ Attend kick-off meetings and interface with staff as needed.
◦ Work with project teams to ensure representation of Minority-, Women- and Veteran-Owned Business Enterprises on our project bid lists.
◦ Assist with project-related meetings as needed.
◦ Create project reports as needed.
◦ Attend project-specific outreach events as needed.
• Attend community stakeholder meetings, as needed.
• Assist with day-to-day responsibilities of Power's High School Scholarship Program.
◦ Coordinate with area high schools to schedule opportunities for Power to meet with students.
◦ Assist with preparing and delivering presentations to students.
◦ Help update scholarship language.
◦ Support the scholarship application review and award process.
◦ Communicate with past recipients to identify opportunities to engage in ongoing Power events.
• Assist with ongoing pre-apprentice activities.
◦ Coordinate with pre-apprentice partners.
◦ Assist with engaging Power subcontractors to schedule visits with our partners.
◦ Track candidate referral efforts and outcomes.
• Run and distribute various reports.
• Assist with union recruiting and outreach partnership in conjunction with General Labor Foreman.
• Assist with company sponsored functions.
• Adhere to the highest degree of professional standards and maintain strict confidentiality in matters that require discretion.
• Develop leadership skills to eventually utilize in a managerial role.
• Perform other job-related duties and projects as needed/assigned.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's Degree related to Community Engagement and/or Construction Management or applicable mix of education and related experience required.
• 2-5 years related experience preferred.
• Experience working with a construction management company a plus.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to effectively manage time, multi-task and pay close attention to details.
• Must be proficient in MS Office suite (Excel, Word and PowerPoint).
• Experience in a team-oriented workplace preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
• Payroll System Management experience a plus (LCP Tracker, B2GNOW, Prism, SkillSmart, Headcount, GPTS or similar software).
• Experience managing large databases a plus.
• Experience using bidding software a plus (SmartBid, Procore, Autodesk or similar software).
