Seeking to create an office that reflects the unique nature of the firm, Plante Moran consolidated its two downtown locations into one streamlined location that is punctuated by a rotating art display featuring work from students at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. The renovated space features an 18-seat executive boardroom, 96 offices, 16 conference rooms and cafeteria on three separate floors.
Schedule
In order to maintain the six-month fast-track schedule, the renovations were completed in three phases, beginning with the 9th and 10th floor to allow the first floor design to be fully realized.
Cost Savings
100% of the $400,000 in design alternatives presented were accepted, without compromise to SmithGroup’s design intent.
Relationship
Following successful completion of this project, we completed additional renovations at this location and completed the 19,500 sf renovation of their Schaumburg, IL office.
