While other areas of the country have seen a decrease in physical retail stores, residents in suburban Chicago are maintaining an interest in the physical shopping experience. We added an additional building connecting two existing outdoor malls along the busy shopping corridor in Kildeer, Illinois. New stores include Nordstrom Rack, Art Van Furniture, Nike, DSW, and Sierra Trading Post, as well as several other small shops and restaurants.

Constructing One of the Largest Commercial Wells in Lake County

The 22-acre site includes retention ponds, wetlands, and a pump house for two wells we constructed on the property. These two commercial wells, each 1,000-feet deep, were dug to provide water to the retail stores. The pump house includes a treatment room to filter the water and a fire pump system that can draw additional water from the retention pond if needed.

Unique Façade Elements Contribute to Store Branding

The exterior façade has been specialized for each retailer using different styles of EIFS, metal panels, fiber cement panels, timber trusses, curtainwall and storefront glass systems.
