387,000 sf, 7 Stories

The wedge-shaped lot at the corner of Elston and Webster Avenue is being transformed into a 387,000 sf, 7-story residential complex with 298 units, 5 retail shops, and an amenity deck that includes a club room, fitness center, and outdoor swimming pool.

One of the Largest Cold Form Metal Framing in Chicago

Our team has been busy coordinating one of the largest cold form metal framing (CFMF) installations in the city! More cost-effective than typical concrete structures, the Triangle Square CFMF sits atop a concrete podium and will rise to a total of seven floors for this 386,000 sf multi-family building.

During construction, our team hosted several meetings with Power's BIM specialists and project subcontractors to help them navigate the intricacies of MEP routing around the CFMF metal studs. Given their fixed position and density, routing through the metal studs is a costly option so all parties worked together to determine the best, most efficient options for installing MEP piping and solving challenges virtually before they became issues in the field.
