Cougle Foods’ riverfront facility brings modern food processing and cold storage to an infill industrial site along the South Branch of the Chicago River. The 37,700 sf precast building combines warehouse, processing, and office functions with a new public-facing riverfront amenity.

• Regulated roof stormwater outfall meeting City of Chicago requirements

• Power Cold+Food self-perform team installed insulated metal panels, refrigerated doors, and windows

• Bird boxes, habitat monitoring, and interpretive signage along Bubbly Creek
• Targeting about 10% better energy performance than code and 80% construction waste diversion
• Downcast exterior lighting to reduce light pollution and indoor water use reduction of 25%
