Pork King Packaging expanded its operations with a new 35,000 sf cold storage facility. Designed from the ground up as a build-to-suit project, the facility features a -10°F freezer, blast freezer capability, cold dock, dry dock, and dry storage space. With scalability at its core, the facility not only strengthens the region’s cold chain infrastructure but also enhances the efficiency of pork product distribution—positioning Pork King for continued growth.

Self-Perform Innovation and Quality Control

By self-performing critical scopes, including underslab insulation, insulated metal panels (IMPs), refrigerated doors, drywall, acoustic ceilings, and hollow metal doors—we maintained direct control over quality, schedule, and cost. This hands-on approach streamlined coordination, reduced delays, and ensured a high-performance outcome tailored to cold storage construction.

For the IMP installation, our team overcame the challenges of a multi-level roof structure using suction cup lifters for greater precision and panel protection. A tilt-up installation method secured airtight alignment and long-term thermal efficiency, delivering a durable and energy-efficient building envelope.
