Liberty Foods’ new facility combines advanced food processing and freezer/distribution operations in a single, highly efficient cold storage building designed for food safety and extended shelf life. The layout is organized around rapid freezing, streamlined product flow, and strict hygiene controls for value‑added deli products.

Food processing and freezing

“Quick‑freeze” racking rapidly freezes a wide range of food products within a 36‑hour window to preserve product quality, texture, and throughput. A dedicated High‑Pressure Processing (HPP) room houses specialized equipment that eliminates bacteria in processed deli meats, significantly extending shelf life and enhancing food safety.

Phased delivery

In phase one, we delivered the primary freezer and cooler infrastructure and prepared the building to accommodate future hyperbaric storage chambers. Phase two expanded the facility with a production area that ties processing, cold storage, and distribution functions together under one roof, improving efficiency and reducing handling.

Maximizing efficiency on a tight site

Originally conceived as a dedicated freezer facility on a constrained site, the project required careful planning to optimize the building footprint, truck circulation, and utility routing. Our Power Cold+Food Group team self‑performed insulated metal panel installation to maintain tight temperature control, support complex mechanical and utility demands from the HPP system, and keep construction sequencing on track.
