We delivered two major cold storage expansions that increased capacity and efficiency for United States Cold Storage and Gorton’s Seafood while planning for long-term growth.

United States Cold Storage expansion

We completed a 107,125 sf expansion of an existing United States Cold Storage facility, adding a VNA freezer, loading dock, and battery charging room on a building pad that had been prepared in phase one for future growth. This phase expanded freezer capacity to support a new production facility and enhanced long-term operational efficiency through purpose-built cold storage design and optimized circulation.

Gorton’s Seafood production facility

For Gorton’s Seafood, we built a separate 117,250 sf expansion to create a new fish production facility with office space, a loading dock, and support areas, again leveraging the phase-one pad to accommodate future expansion. The new facility enables Gorton’s to centralize operations, reduce transportation costs, and improve overall production efficiency.

Technology and Self-Perform

We self-performed the installation of insulated metal panels across both projects, ensuring consistent quality, thermal performance, and schedule control. An immersive virtual reality tour of the facilities allowed the engineering team and stakeholders to experience the 3D model, identify design refinements early, and accelerate collaborative decision-making during design review.
