625 W Adams is a multi-tenant office building at the western edge of Chicago’s Loop, featuring a stunning two-story conference room with seventh-floor and penthouse terraces overlooking a public park. Floor-to-ceiling glass and extensive lounge spaces create an airy, welcoming lobby.
Each floor supports 168 workstations plus collaborative areas, private offices, training rooms, touchdown spaces, and conference rooms. The building also includes five levels of parking and first-floor retail space.
Setting the Schedule for Early Turnover
Extensive coordination enabled the concrete core, tower crane erection, and structural steel erection to progress simultaneously. This approach met critical schedule targets and allowed early turnover of tenant suites for custom build-outs.
WINDOW SCHOOL SETS THE QUALITY BENCHMARK
The Quality Support team implemented rigorous measures, including off-site performance mock-ups and on-site enclosure testing, to ensure a watertight, precise fit. "Window School," an informal hands-on training program, used demonstrations and mock-ups to verify product compatibility and establish the correct installation sequence for the high-performance enclosure system. Upon first unit delivery, the team led a joint review with the manufacturer, installer, sealant contractor, architect, and owner—aligning all stakeholders on the process and quality standards for consistent execution throughout construction.
