The 15,000 sf, three‑story steel Behavioral Health addition features outpatient programming areas, classrooms, offices, collaboration spaces, and lounges. The structure is enclosed with metal cold‑formed framing and a brick façade. To connect the new addition to the existing building, the project team demolished portions of the exterior wall and adjacent interior rooms. Taking advantage of the building’s summer vacancy, the tie‑in work was expedited and completed before the facility was reoccupied.
In-House Services
Power’s in‑house VDC team extensively modeled the structure and all MEP/FP systems. Using detailed surveys of the existing building, they verified that the below‑grade deep foundations and earth‑retention systems would not conflict with existing site conditions. Working closely with subcontractors, the VDC team fully laid out the structure before construction began, resolving structural, mechanical, and architectural conflicts early to help accelerate the overall project schedule.
