Millennium Park Plaza Addition is a new three-story, 13,500 sf expansion at the corner of Michigan Avenue and Randolph Street. The ground floor includes 5,300 sf of retail tenant space, while the second and third levels offer future space for a restaurant or commercial tenant plus a 1,000 sf west-side terrace.

The team tied the second level into the existing tower, incorporating a 5,500 sf interior renovation, new elevator, and core-and-shell MEP systems. The third-floor roof is designed to support a future occupied amenity deck for residential units above.

Urban Logistics at Chicago’s Busiest Intersection

Located at N. Michigan Avenue and E. Randolph Street, the project required intricate coordination around heavy pedestrian and vehicle traffic, neighboring buildings, and the lower/upper Randolph interface. With only four feet of perimeter work space permitted, the team used narrow pedestrian canopies to minimize disruptions and secured permits to shore nearby overpasses for safe heavy equipment transport.
