UISC provided all design, engineering and construction work required for a 41,763 sf Cooler Warehouse Addition and the complete build-out/renovation of a new 43,979 sf Production Area. Both projects needed to be built simultaneously to meet the same completion date.
The design+build portion of the project consisted of the construction of a new Buffer Cooler Warehouse, MOTC Office, Refrigeration Room, Electrical Room, Fire Protection Room, and all related site work. The Production Area build-out scope included the expansion of the facilities existing Production Areas into a new adjacent structure. A new “Smokehouse” addition was also added to accommodate local production needs midway through the project.
The expansion work also included coordinating the extension of existing facility conveyor systems into the newly constructed Production Areas. This work was completed without any unforeseen plant shutdowns allowing Kraft Foods to maintain full production output during the construction project.
