The 274,000 sf warehouse on Mitchell Road near I-88 in Aurora features three storefront entrances to maximize flexibility in size and location of multiple tenants within the building. The 32-foot clear height structure has 52 loading docks. Structurally engineered to allow for additional docks to be constructed, the precast panels along the dockside of the facility can be saw-cut in place to create 15 more loading dock positions.
A large detention pond re-routes existing wetlands on the 40-acre site. During construction, water from the site passed through a hose into a filtered bag where all silt and dirt is captured. This prevented polluted water from traveling into an adjacent stream. In addition, all trees removed during demolition were recycled and turned into mulch for later use.
