POSITION SUMMARY: The Payroll Coordinator will help support the day-to-day responsibilities of administering payroll, including providing direct support to colleagues and managers with payroll-related questions. This position will collaborate with the People and Culture team to ensure a cohesive process for payroll administration. This position will report to the Payroll Supervisor. Job Responsibilities • Assist in processing multi-state payroll for union employees on a weekly basis • Assist in processing multi-state payroll for non-union employees on a semi-monthly schedule • Audit each payroll to ensure accuracy and balance hours and wages • Process Garnishments • Process Verification of Employment requests • Process Unemployment Claims within Equifax system • Assist in Certified Payroll Reporting • Process CCIP/OCIP insurance payroll reports within AON, Marsh, Alliant websites • Escalate unresolved issues to the Payroll Manager • Collaborate with Accounting and other departments • Assist in year-end accounting audits, 401k audit, and union audits • Participate in continuous learning and organizational development activities • Support in payroll projects as needed and complete additional tasks as assigned Position requirements: • Associate degree and/or equivalent training and education • 1-3 years of relevant payroll experience • Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to explain issues or directives in a clear and concise manner • Ability to organize and prioritize work and to meet deadlines. • Must understand the sense of urgency of related payroll requests and expectations • Provide excellent customer service and uphold the strictest standards of confidentiality • Ability to work independently in a team setting • Strong attention to detail • Experience with Ceridian is a plus but not required Power Construction is an equal opportunity employer.
