POSITION SUMMARY:

The Senior Manager – Human Resources plays a primary role in planning and leading Human Resources activities, including implementing and administering policies, benefits, compensation, wellness initiatives, compliance and reporting, data and analytics, and HRIS management. The ideal candidate is passionate and motivated to grow with our enthusiastic and hardworking People & Culture team, which includes Human Resources, Recruiting, Learning & Development and Community Development. The primary mission of People & Culture is to foster a thriving environment that attracts, retains and develops our talent. This role reports directly to the Vice President of People & Culture.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
• With the guidance of the VP of People & Culture, develop Human Resource strategies and lead the HR team to ensure the success of departmental projects and initiatives, with a continued focus on exceptional customer service.
• Focus on the ongoing development and growth of HR team members by providing continuous learning opportunities and day-to-day guidance. Serves as a coach and mentor and ensures that employees have the necessary support and resources to engage at their full capacity.
• Oversee and/or administer human resource programs including, but not limited to, benefits, compensation, leaves of absence, disciplinary matters and investigations, productivity, recognition and morale.
• Monitor and ensures the organization's compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; review and modify policies and practices to maintain compliance.
• Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
• Partner closely with the VP of People & Culture and other executives and senior management to ensure HR policies and practices are aligned with short and long-term organization and operational goals.
• Lead staff-focused projects such as talent evaluation, development of leadership succession plans, benefit plan and compensation reviews, and onboarding and offboarding processes and procedures in collaboration with the VP of People & Culture and the HR team.
• Form strategic partnerships with other leaders within the People & Culture Team including Learning & Development, Recruiting, and Community Development.
• Continuously improve, customize, and problem-solve within the HRIS system to reduce clerical work and ensure employees have a positive user experience.
• Serve as the company's 401(k) administrator, compliance officer and benefit plan administrator, and supervise the HR team in providing day-to-day benefits support to employees.
• Liaise with the Payroll department and collaborate on shared responsibilities.
• Oversee the Office Services team and their planning of company events, volunteering opportunities, and day to day maintenance of the corporate office.
• Adhere to the highest degree of professional standards and strict confidentiality in matters that require discretion.
• Perform other job-related duties and projects as necessary.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a business-related field, and/or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in Human Resources.
• 3+ years of experience leading a team.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to effectively manage time, multi-task and pay close attention to details.
• Ceridian Dayforce experience a plus.
• PHR or SHRM-CP certification a plus.
Construction or related industry experience a plus. The ideal candidate is passionate about the built environment and the impact our business has in our communities.
