Located at the corner of Clark Street and Wells Street, Fifteen Fifty on the Park brings new luxury residences to a uniquely connected site at the intersection of Lincoln Park, the Gold Coast, and Old Town in Chicago. Built on the historic site of the Village Art Theatre, the project preserves neighborhood character by restoring and integrating the landmarked façade into the new structure.

The building’s white terra cotta, red brick, and detailed ornamentation give it a distinctive architectural identity along the park. Rising 11 stories above the historic base, the contemporary limestone tower includes 32 luxury condominium residences with floor-to-ceiling windows, generous bedrooms, and expansive private terraces that capture park and city views.

Historic restoration and façade preservation

Originally constructed in 1916, the Village Art Theatre served as a neighborhood entertainment landmark for more than 90 years. Before work began, the project team laser scanned the entire façade to capture a precise digital record. Each piece of terra cotta was then carefully removed, cataloged, restored, and reinstalled using the scan as a guide—maintaining as much of the original material as possible while seamlessly incorporating it into the new building.
