The FSIP Tank Farm MEB renovation is a phased project to modernize an active 14,000 sf maintenance building near Taxiway Z at O’Hare International Airport. Work includes limited asbestos and lead abatement, remodeling of locker rooms, offices, and the breakroom, installation of a new in‑ground truck lift and service bay overhead sectional doors, upgraded grounding and lightning protection, new interior flooring finishes, and targeted upgrades to bring key areas into current code compliance.

The project also required removal and excavation of an existing concrete slab and vehicle maintenance pit while preserving the original column footings and drainage infrastructure. The team then poured a new concrete pit to support the new vehicle lift, improving functionality without the cost and disruption of full structural replacement.
