Located on a beautifully wooded North Shore campus, Presbyterian Homes’ Lake Forest Place offers a sophisticated combination of independent and assisted living for older adults seeking comfort, community, and care. Our team partnered with Presbyterian Homes to renovate and modernize their 35,000 sf Town Center facility, enriching the resident experience through high-end design and craftsmanship.

The extensive renovation elevated the facility’s aesthetics and functionality with luxurious finishes, including Italian Venetian plaster, stone tile, mahogany millwork, inlaid wood flooring, glass mosaic tile, and custom decorative carpeting. Key upgrades included:

  • Two new commercial kitchens to support enhanced dining operations

  • A new bistro kitchen offering an interactive dining experience

  • Renovated dining room, library, café, and lounge areas

  • Updated administrative and marketing offices

In addition, we renovated 12,200 sf of the Memory Care facility, refreshing the kitchen, dining rooms, lobby, offices, and resident living areas to create a modern, calming environment for residents and staff.

Safety First

Working within an occupied senior living campus required meticulous planning and communication. To ensure the safety and comfort of residents, staff, and visitors, our team collaborated closely with facility leaders to develop a comprehensive safety and communication plan. This included hard partitions and temporary walls, clear site signage, and color-coded phasing diagrams displayed throughout residential corridors. Activity notices were distributed two weeks before each phase of work, ensuring residents and staff were informed and at ease throughout construction.
