From start to finish, we deliver excellence through hands-on involvement and a people-first approach.

Our core beliefs—valuing relationships, embracing innovation, and focusing on long-term success—guide everything we do.

At Power, growing talent from within and fostering an entrepreneurial culture is in our DNA. Unlike industries driven by short-term transactions, construction demands lasting relationships built on trust and mutual respect.

Here, who you are and what you do matters. We build more than structures—we build careers and connections that stand the test of time.

Training & Development

We’ve cultivated a culture where great mentors and dedicated people invest deeply in each other and their careers. Beyond learning on the job site, our comprehensive mix of technical and professional development courses provides valuable resources to advance your career. All training is delivered in-house by experienced Power team members who understand the industry and your growth.

PE 101

Our #1 rated training for Project Engineers and interns, this immersive session is led by Superintendents, Project Managers, and Executives. Participants collaborate on hands-on exercises creating detailed schedules, reviewing submittals, and coordinating efforts using real project documents.

Positional Meetings

Held monthly or quarterly depending on role, these meetings blend technical training, job site highlights unique to each project, and company or department updates. They also provide valuable opportunities for employees to connect with peers, share knowledge, and strengthen workplace relationships.

Technical Schools

Designed to build foundational technical expertise at the entry level, our four focused "schools" concentrate on mastering the complexities of key trades, including Concrete, Steel, Doors, and Control, Deflection, and Tolerance. These specialized programs deepen understanding of trade-specific challenges and quality standards.

Professional Development

At Power, professional growth is a priority. Our targeted development programs equip employees with essential leadership, communication, and management skills, among others, needed to excel and advance. Through workshops, coaching, and mentorship, we help you build the confidence and capabilities to take your career to the next level.

Mentorship

Our mentors are deeply committed to offering honest support, coaching, and guidance. Their goal is simple: to ensure every employee finds success in their role and feels at home at Power. We know mentorship is key to career growth, which is why every new hire—whether just starting out or with decades of experience—is paired with a mentor right away. This long-term relationship is built on trusted, honest dialogue, creating a two-way exchange of knowledge and encouragement that makes for a more satisfying and successful career.

Neal Deiters

Neal Deiters

Started with Power in 2013

Regarded as our “Career Path Unicorn,” one might be hard-pressed to find a more unique career journey than Neal’s. He is built to be a team player, stemming from his days as a Big 10 football player and continuing through his 10+ years at Power. Spending the first few years of his career in the field before pivoting to our Preconstruction team, Neal now serves as a Project Manager for our self-perform Carpentry Group. Neal is a great example of expanding one’s knowledge across the organization by saying “yes” to every opportunity that he spotted. Doing so has enabled him to become an invaluable resource to Power.

As her career progressed, Marcela leveraged the budgeting and contract management skills she honed as a Project Manager, along with the technical expertise she gained as a Superintendent, to make a successful transition into Power’s Preconstruction Department. Arthur Lin

Arthur Lin

Started with Power in 2023

Some people “find their best fit” early (see Trevor), while others may take a few years. Arthur started the first two years of his career with another firm on travel projects throughout the Midwest. Knowing he was ready to return to Chicago, Arthur tapped on his network from his time at U of I to re-connect with Power, knowing it was the right place for him to grow long-term. When Arthur isn’t beating his coworkers in 2v2 basketball, he’s continuing to add to his project experience which now includes data centers, high rises, student housing, and higher education buildings - all just six years into his career.

Trevor Symbal

Trevor Symbal

Started with Power in 2016

Any college student can find value in a conversation with Trevor on best ways to navigate various internship opportunities. By senior year, Trevor had four internship experiences, with four different companies, roles, and locations. Doing so put Trevor in the perfect spot to make the right decision on what he wanted to do after graduation. Power ended up being his right fit (lucky for us) and he was able to apply all of the PE, MEP, Preconstruction, and VDC experience picked up throughout his four years on Day One.

She was soon presented with the opportunity to join our Quality Support Team as an Assistant Quality Support Manager. This unique role was a natural fit for Angelika’s technical expertise and her passion for mentoring. After two years with our Quality Team, she’s back into the field as an Assistant Superintendent helping lead and build Power’s newest multi-family project.

Kevin Zile

Kevin Zile

Started with Power in 2023

Kevin worked hard to maximize opportunities throughout his college career and now beyond. After completing two internships with other firms, he eagerly joined Power to work on a 19-story, 420,000 sf luxury apartment in Fulton Market. His technical skills and positive attitude earned him a return offer for an eight-month co-op. Kevin then moved to the East Coast to help build a 12-story, 1M sf student housing facility in Raleigh, NC. In both roles, he was a key operations asset, often described as the glue of his teams and amongst other Power interns. While finishing his studies, Kevin continued to work part-time remotely. Now, he’s launching his full-time career as a project engineer on yet another multifamily development: a 22-story building in Denver, CO
