Expanding Life Time's suburban portfolio, this ground-up resort-style athletic and wellness club in Naperville is designed to deliver a distinctive, hospitality-driven member experience.
Spanning 100,000 sf on a previously undeveloped portion of a larger 24-acre mixed-use development along Route 59, the building is enclosed with insulated precast concrete wall panels, metal panel accents, curtain wall glazing, and masonry. The state-of-the-art facility offers 10 indoor/outdoor pickleball courts, multiple pools with added features like waterslides, cabanas, and a bistro, as well as five dedicated studios for workout classes. The space also features a dedicated hydrotherapy suite featuring a sauna, steam room, whirlpool, and cold plunge, supported by locker rooms and back-of-house areas.
Site improvements include multiple indoor and outdoor pools with waterslides, cabanas, hardscape, parking, and associated underground and site utilities. The club also offers four indoor and six outdoor pickleball courts with specialized sport surfaces, further reinforcing Life Time Naperville’s role as a comprehensive destination for wellness, recreation, and community connection.
SELF-PERFORM
Our self-perform teams played a central role in delivering this project. Our concrete group poured more than 1,000 cubic yards of concrete to build the 55,000 sf foundation, slab-on-grade, and topping slabs, including post-tensioned slabs-on-grade for the exterior pickleball courts—an uncommon choice in the Midwest that improves crack control, durability, and long-term playability in a freeze-thaw climate. Our in-house carpentry team executed cold-formed metal framing, drywall installation, rough carpentry, and millwork, and installed detailed finishes such as sauna interiors, coiled wire fabric drapes, interior metal paneling, and wood ceilings to elevate the overall look and feel of the club.
