Gordon Center for Integrative Sciences houses pre- and post-doctoral trainees while expanding University of Chicago research and teaching in biological and physical sciences. This landmark facility mirrors the iconic Cobb Gate with six-story steel columns, an open exterior breezeway, and shimmering glass panes flooding interiors with natural light.

Advanced Subterranean Research Spaces

Two floors below grade, it features laboratories, classrooms, offices, vibration- and light-sensitive labs, plus a 24,000 sf vivarium with isolation suite, X-ray processing, molecular modeling center, fluorescence microscopy, flow cytometry and radioisotope labs, crystallography suite, and electronics shop.
